Proud to be awarded EN ISO 13485:2016
Lenstec Optical Group are proud to announce that they have been awarded certification for the EN ISO 13485:2016 Medical Devices Standard.
“This standard involves a stringent and intensive 10 day audit of all our procedures, culture and supply chain across the business” says Nigel Castle, Lenstec Optical Group MD. “EN ISO 13485:2016 is much harder to accomplish than ISO9001 so to achieve this highly prized accreditation there has been 18 months of dedicated hard work by Paul Kibble Group Quality Manager, Chris Kellard and the management teams across all sites.” Nigel adds “The auditors were very complimentary of every member of staff they spoke to and were impressed with the culture and work ethic evident throughout the business.”
Lenstec Optical Group is believed to be the only optical manufacturing lab in the UK to have attained this highly acclaimed standard. The company has also just been audited for the Investors In People 6th Generation Standard and is due the award shortly.
